Pledge of Allegiance ?????

I guess Allie was learning the Pledge of Allegiance at pre-school yesterday. She seems to have gotten it confused with a memory verse. She came home and said. "I can say my memory verse". Then she said. " The Lord is America, Invisible, Re-Publix, for evil, Galatians 39:40. " So I said the pledge and she was very impressed that I knew it. I guess she still has a lot of work to do.

Preschool

Allie started 4 year old preschool today. She is going to the same school as she did last year. She was not really excited about it. She loved her teachers last year and was not happy about having new ones. She kept telling us that she wasn't going. I was expecting a little bit of crying, but she didn't. She asked to take her "Bunny"(a blanket that she has slept with since she was a baby). She said "It will make me feel better." So Allie and Bunny went to school and she had a good day. She liked it a lot ( I knew she would).

You know how some kids don't like to get their hands messy. Well, I do not have a child like that. I guess this is why our kitchen is always such a mess!

Happy Birthday Allie!!!

Well, Allie turned 4 this weekend. I can't believe she is 4. It seems like the time passes so quickly. It is hard to remember our life before her. What did we do? She has been such a blessing in our lives and I am so thankful for her. We had a princess party at our house. The girls dressed up like princesses. They were so cute. I wish I had better pictures, but they were not into picture taking (especially Allie!). Allie had a great time. She had on a princess dress, jewelry and shoes, but she changed about half way through the party.

The other day I came in the living room and this is what the girls were doing. Allie really is a great big sister. She is always taking care of Avery and gets mad at us if we tell Avery "no". I hope they will always be close.

Fun Weekend!

Well, Allie had a great weekend and we did also. We all went swimming Saturday. Allie swam a little without her life jacket and Avery loved the water sprinklers. Then, Sunday was our cousin Emily's birthday party. She and Allie are four days apart in age. Allie loves to play with Emily. The party was at Build A Bear and the kids had so much fun!

Swimming!

We went to the pool yesterday. (Can't do anything else outside, because it is so hot) Allie swam without her life jacket for the first time. Well, actually it was a combination of drowning and swimming, but we are counting it as swimming. I was very proud of her for trying it. She has made a lot of progress this summer. The pool was so warm, because it has been so hot. I am ready for fall!!!!
