Swimming Pool Fun

So we had a busy week this week. Mandy and Mark went to Mexico for Mark's brother's wedding. While they were gone Mandy's sister Courtney had some pregnancy complications and they had to take the baby early. Courtney and Baby Hunter are doing well, now. I am so greatful he is healthy and that Courtney is better. I know there were lots and lots of prayers on their behalf. Charlotte had to go check on Courtney and the baby in Texas, so we got Mandy's kids. All the kids were really good, but I will say having 4 kids ages 1, 2, 3, and 4 is CRAZY! I was going to take a picture Sunday moring of all the kids dressed for church, but I forgot to take it. But we did make it with all our clothes, shoes, hairbows, and we were on time! I thought that was a small miricle. Monday, Randi kept Nina, so Allie, Avery, and Ethan went swimming in our baby pool. Ethan and Allie are almost as long as the slide, but they had fun anyway. Our church had VBS this week so I have some pictures of that I will post next.

Birthday Party

It seems Avery's birthday party was doomed to fail. First, we had a terrible time scheduling it. It seems the first part of June is very busy. Then, Saturday Avery started not feeling well. That night she woke up with a fever. She and I stayed home from church Sunday, but when she woke up she had no fever and was feeling ok. So we met my family for lunch and the they came over to our house for cake and ice cream. She got a little shy when we sang Happy Birthday to her, but she loved the cake and presents. It was a fun party.

The week before when we would sing happy birthday she would act like she was blowing out candles. But when it really came time to blow out the candles, she was shy and so Emily and Allie were more than happy to do it for her.

We got Avery this Strawberry Shortcake doll and she loves it. It has been going everywhere with us and she sleeps with it. It is a cute doll and it smells like strawberries. It really smells bad. It don't know how she can stand to carry it around all the time.

On to bigger things

Allie had her preschool graduation today. They did a little program where they sang a bunch of songs and they gave out diplomas. It was so cute. When the four year olds came in, Avery spotted Allie and she kept saying "Hey Allie" really loud. Lots of people were laughing. It was pretty funny. She was really good throughout the rest of the program. Allie has only one more day of school and a party day. It is sort of sad to think that her preschool days are over. Time goes so fast. She had a such good teachers and a great little class.

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! The other day Allie was waiting for the mail lady to bring the mail so she could go and get it. That started a discussion about different jobs. I asked he what she wanted to do when she grew up. She said I had to guess. So I named about very job that I could think of and then finally gave up. I asked her what she wanted to be. She said "a Mommy". I thought that was sweet and appropriate for mothers day. I told her that was a good choice, because it is the best job in the world. I hope everyone had a good mother's day.

This Saturday my parents came to see the game. Grandma was there also. I took a few pictures. I know your probably tired of t-ball pictures. Only two more games left. It has been fun, but this week it was so hot.

I love spring. We have been spending a lot of time outside. Here are a few pictures of the girls outside. Allie is really into riding her bike. Avery loves to play in the Barbie jeep, but she didn't know how to make it go. Last week Allie showed her how to press the pedal. I was hoping she wouldn't learn this yet, because she doesn't know how to drive it. She just kept driving into things. Then I had the great idea to turn the wheel, so when she pushes the pedal it just goes in circles. She loved it. It was pretty funny. She just rode around and around in a circle.
